Tell me
04:06
|
|||
Is there a chance my love
our life will be on course?
Will we make that bond again
the way we did before?
So it seems, we both forgot
the memories we adore.
Have you still your wings my love
to take me there once more?
Tell me if my hope
is the reason I still long?
Tell me if my heart
has known you from the start
from the start?
Now I see
it’s a long way down,
a long, long way down.

Dumb ox
02:59
|
|||
The field cannot be plowed
but a plow is what you have—
the soil’s gone hard, hard.
Calm, your walk under the sun;
calm, your sleep under the night—
though stars are gone blind.
Shoulders strapped and at your bones
pull the marks you’re making on
the dust and stone.
But you’re holding out for rain
as you plow along within
the fire in your mind.
I think you’re hidden and I think you shine,
I think there’s diamonds in the fields you walk.
And though the world will close its eyes
it’s gonna listen when the dumb ox talks.
What is it to straw
to burn and to fall?
To capture the light
was ever its all.
Some wait for the stars
to come strike the ground.
But I have seen you
fly the other way round,
fly the other way round.
I think you’re hidden and I think you shine,
I think there’s diamonds in the fields you walk.
And though the world will close its eyes
it’s gonna listen when the dumb ox talks.
What is it to straw
to burn and to fall?
To capture the light
was ever its all.
What is it to me
to burn but to see?
To become a beat
in the heart of everything?
The heart of everything?

A prayer
03:36
|
|||
Lord, we need You, and call You to stand by our side.
O we need You,
to be our hope, to be our saving guide.
Fill our hearts with joy,
forge our faith with Your fire,
fill our minds with wisdom
and our voices with power.
Lord, shine through us,
on every soul who passes through our lives.
So they won’t see us,
but only You, Your grace, Your saving light.
Fill their hearts with joy,
forge their faith with Your fire,
fill their minds with wisdom
and their voices with power.
O Lord wash my soul, and cleanse from my sins.
I shall be clean again.
Lord, within us
build Your kingdom up of peace and light.
'til around us
the darkness breaks and we are in your sight.
Make these hearts like Yours
and their rest assured,
remake minds anew
face-to-face with Your love.
Make all these hearts like Yours
and their rest assured,
remake our minds anew
face-to-face with Your love.
Lord we need You.

Antiphon
04:05
|
|||
Deus enim rorem in illas misit,
de quo multiplex fama crevit,
ita quod omnes populi
ex hac honorabili fama velut cibum gustabant.
Sed diabolus in invidia
sua istud irrisit,
qua nullum opus Dei
intactum dimisit.

Cross (victory)
04:20
|
|||
The Son is with us, the light is near.
He bore our sins, He felt our fears.
And yet you wonder, when will I see?
I don’t believe; still He appeared.
There is no plant, before the seed
dries up and dies, just like wheat.
And in the earth, a body’s formed
according to the seed that’s gone.
The Son is with us, the light is near.
Enlights my soul, dries up my tears.
No need to wonder, when will I see?
I do believe that He appeared.
O death, where is your victory?
O grave, where’s your power to hurt?
Brothers and sisters, hold on strong.
A radical change is going on.
The Word has conquered death and sin.
The trumpet calls, and new begins .
Brothers and sisters, hold on strong.
Let no one change what’s right and wrong.
Ask for strength to sustain,
know that your labour is not in vain.
O death, where is your victory?
O grave, where’s your power to hurt?

Song of the lily
03:03
|
|||
Look at the clear blue sky
and see the lily in the valley.
Under a shady tree,
there is a spot for you and me.
And listen to the birds in choir:
they sing a song like there’s something to come.
Well have you noticed a new season:
winter is past, the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear upon the earth.
Breathe in the summer scent,
you’ll smell the blossoms on the vines.
When on the mountainside,
a path is leading to a shrine.
And listen to the birds in choir:
they sing a song like there’s something to come.
Well have you noticed a new season:
winter is past, the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear upon the earth.
Come see the clear blue sky,
come follow lilies through the valley.
Beside a running stream
there’s still a spot for you and me.
Do not fear to cross the river.
There’s a life to live forever!

The storm
04:24
|
|||
I’m sorry that you're not amazed.
I’m sorry that the wind won't fall.
I’m sorry that you lost your faith.
The waves will give or take it all.
And Lord knows that you couldn't sleep.
Lord knows that the waves came up.
Lord knows no-one hears you weep.
We've had it all and now we're not.
Oh, don’t think you’d come out of it.
Don’t think you’d survive all this.
Don’t think there is any way
that even wind and seas would obey.
All we've gained is all we've lost
a heavy load's a heavy cost.
in earthly things we laid our trust
and now we grieve and eat the dust.
All we've gained is all we've lost
a heavy load's a heavy cost.
We'd put our trust in what we held.
And now we're drowning in the swell.
God, we’re in a storm, solid ground is our only hope.
God, we’re in a storm, solid ground is our hope.

By the babe unborn
03:50
|
|||
If trees were tall and grasses short,
As in some crazy tale,
If here and there a sea were blue
Beyond the breaking pale,
If a fixed fire hung in the air
To warm me one day through,
If deep green hair grew on great hills,
I know what I should do.
In dark I lie: dreaming that there
Are great eyes cold or kind,
And twisted streets and silent doors,
And living men behind.
Let storm-clouds come: better an hour,
And leave to weep and fight,
Than all the ages I have ruled
The empires of the night.
I think that if they gave me leave
Within that world to stand,
I would be good through all the day
I spent in fairyland.
They should not hear a word from me
Of selfishness or scorn,
If only I could
find the door,
If only I were born.

O, hush thee
02:43
|
|||
O, hush thee, my baby, the time will soon come,
that colours ‘ll be clear, and words will be known.
O hush, little baby, then remember this song:
love is eternal, you’ll never be alone.
I remember your mother, on the day that we met.
It’s a thing I shall never, nay never forget.
And I toy with the fancy that, young as you are,
that you’ll know her and that I’d see her,
forever in your eyes.
So often I wonder how the magic’s deployed?
What’s the infinite source of your confident joy?
But it’s simple, without doubt, it’s the gift from above
of the nine months of peace you had spent in her womb.
There is hope in those words, and I’ll try to maintain,
to sing it to you daily, again and again.
Cause, your heart leads the rhythm, like a soft beating drum,
awaiting in your sleep, a life yet to come!

The letter
03:30
|
|||
I want you to know
how I have fought though you can't see my face
how chains and distance cannot long detain
a love that gathers up our bones with grace
Though they speak against
what they don't understand and won't relent
my heart is with you, by its beating sent
our faithfulness our life and one defense
For though my body's absent
it's my soul that goes with you
And though the distance gathers
we can tear the veil in two
Rejoicing in you holding
to the presence of the truth
The world can break against us
if we won't be broke anew
So we should walk on
the road that we have found
And come together
when our pilgrim way is done
So we should walk by
the light that keeps us strong
Till we come together
once our pilgrim path is done
The wind won't find me here
when it comes tearing up this place
And we will not be found
among the side-ways of the way
No they won't find my heart
it will be gone without a trace
Striving next to yours
to greet the breaking of the day
These walls will not remain
they will all fall beneath the waves
And these chains through which I write
will come apart without a key
And we who died of love
cannot keep lying in our graves:
--To rise is destiny; to live is mystery!

Bridle and bit
05:04
|
|||
Last week I woke up, I was stung by the sand,
and what’s left of a castle, I had built with my friends.
For years I had lived, thinking sand ‘d be like stone,
and a palace for one, could be more than a home.
I soon realized that the morning was gone,
and the road made of concrete was a long way from
where my Father was waiting for me to return
a word and a note, could be more than a song.
Why, loved ones why,
should you stay, and regret it,
years will go by,
and your backs will never bear it.
Last week I woke up, I was stung by the sand,
and what’s left of a castle, I had built with my friends.
For once I could see through the years I had left
just a palace for one, nothing more than a debt.
I’m here, to teach you, the way you should go,
wherever you are, have my eye upon you.
Don’t be like the horse or the mule, without sense
without bridle and bit, none would come near to you.
Bridle and bit, be like man, be of reason.
